Chiefs baseball…sign that summer is coming

It was chilly and the game was crisp, lasting 2:01. And thanks to a 2 run 8’th inning in which Western Michigan had 3 errors and a passed ball and Peoria had 3 hits, the Chiefs won 3-1.

Early on (2n’d inning) the Whitecaps got a ground ball double and brought the runner home via two “fielder’s choice” infield ground balls. The Chiefs got more hits, but mostly these were the “2 out single” type hits.

For most of the game, the respective pitchers dominated.

A towering home run did tie the score at 1.

Workout notes: weights (rotator cuff, pull ups (5 sets of 10), incline press: 10 x 135, 5 x 150, 10 x 140, military (dumbbell) 20 x 50 seated, supported, 2 sets of 10 x 45, rows (Hammer) 3 sets of 10 x 200, headstand,

then a 5K walk in West Peoria.

Yes, I know about current events; more on that later.
