Medium walk and eagles …

Injury note: my right heel is starting to “burn” again in a “bruise” sort of way; time to use those heel gels again and to do a bit of running on the softer treadmill.

The walk: 13.4 miles in 3:30 (15:40 mpm pace); the weather was wacky. At the start it was 36 F and windy. At the finish: high 50’s.

This was the “to the end of the cemetery” course, via the goose loop. I saw a few runners and I had a bald eagle glide right over me; you see a few along the Illinois River.

The split was almost exactly even: 1:45 at the turn around. Given the return was net uphill and vs. a very stiff wind, I was ok with it. This workout went well with yesterday’s 18.8 mile windfest.
