The Pain of Unrequited Love in my life

Unrequited Love: There is no guarantee that the one you love is going to love you.

This applies to romantic relationships and friendships as well; not everyone that you want to be friends with wants to be friends with you, or perhaps not friends at the level that you’d like.

And as far as past loves and friendships: sometimes they never were what you thought they were, and sometimes what was once true is now gone forever; it is just not meant to be, for a variety of reasons.

But some of us…yes, that includes me…find it too painful to accept reality and want to give it one more chance. Maybe. Well, maybe within the next dozen days or so. This, despite past evidence that this just can’t be made to work. Not in a while. But the excuses…my being unable to accept that it is really over? Is it over?
