In Berea

I spent a good and interesting day with Olivia at Baldwin Wallace University. We had dinner and a football game and a walk around campus.

The Yellowjackets defeated Marietta 38-0; though Marietta controlled the action in the first quarter and hit a nifty 47 yard pass play, they came away with turning it over on downs and missed 43 yard field goal attempt. The BW started to drive and got a touchdown, and then blocked a punt to set up a second score.

Third quarter: BW started to own the line of scrimmage; they took advantage of a short field on a kick off to move up 21-0.

4’th quarter: BW finished a drive with a field goal and then put the game away with still another TD drive. The reserves added another score.

We had 50 yard line seats on the first row!

Interestingly enough, I was hearing alumni complain about the team; that much they have in common with higher division programs.

My time with my daughter was nice; I took her and a friend out to dinner and tomorrow we go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Workout notes 2 miles on the hotel treadmill in Columbus: 10:45 opening mile; 8:40 second mile (increased the pace every 2 minutes until 1.5 miles then 7.1 mph.
