Cutting back….

Workout notes
Easy 4.2 mile run followed by weights:
rotator cuff (pulley, dumbbell)
rows: 15 x 180, 12 x 200, 10 x 230 (narrow)
pull ups: 4 sets of 10
sit ups: 8 sets of 20 on the high incline
bench press: 10 x 135, 10 x 165, 4 x 175, 4 x 175 (these went well)
incline: 9 x 135, 7 x 135
dumbbell military: 2 sets of 15 x 45 lb.
pull downs: 3 sets of 10 x 160
curls (lifestyle machine) 3 sets of 10 x 70

I did supersets of rotator, rows, pull ups
bench, sit ups
incline bench, sit ups
military, dumbbell rotator cuff
curls/pull downs.

Note: cutting the run from 6 to 4 miles makes a huge difference in the energy I had to put into the weight workout.

Funny conversation: I talked to triathlete and ultra runner Ann Schmidt and asked her if she had any goal races coming up. She said: “Ironman in August; it is a birthday present from my husband.” Me: “which one”? Her: “I only have one husband.” ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is a brief snippet that talks about the role of topology in cosmology. It is brief but interesting.
