24 October 09 afternoon football.

I am watching some college football. I saw the first half of Army-Rutgers last night (17-3 Rutgers at the half; it ended 27-10)

Rutgers Army Football

Though turnovers hurt Army, they did well to be competitive with a team that had bigger, faster players.

Sometimes, turn-overs are caused by the slower team pressing a bit too much.

I saw much of the Illinois-Purdue game which Purdue won 24-14.

Illinois Purdue Football

Illinois was down 21-7 at the half but started the half with an excellent drive to cut it to 21-14, but didn’t do much the rest of the way.

I didn’t see this game, but Baylor’s all gold uniforms (home team) were a bit unusual. They didn’t help as they lost 34-7.

Oklahoma St Baylor Football

I am watching Notre Dame versus Boston College; it is 3-2 ND with the defenses dominating at the moment, though BC appears to be winning the field position battle.

Half: 13-9 ND at the half; ND had a TD called back on a fake field goal due to a holding call (an obvious hold that helped open the hole)

  1. Those Baylor uniforms were hideous. They deserved to lose just for wearing them.
