Workout notes Yoga class at 6 am. Then 30 minutes (3 miles) on machines at lunch. I did 12 minutes (1 mile) on the new-fangled gizmo:

Precor AMT 100i Elliptical Trainers

Then 2.4 miles (105 floors, or 20 minutes) on this contraption:

stair machine

I stopped at 1 mile on the first machine when I felt a twinge (no NSAIDS, and my calves are tight). But the step machine was painless.
