Humor
When I went with Lynn and Gina to Keokuk, Iowa, I took a couple of stuffed frogs with me. One of them is named Froggy; as usual she has let our success go to her little green head.

She now thinks that she won Iowa for Obama:

What I missed

I didn’t see some of this due to my travel back home.

Speaking of the night’s festivities, Friendly Atheist went to the Grant Park Obama victory celebration.

Sarah Palin: Note how Bill O’Rielly excuses Sarah Palin’s ignorance (“she needs tutoring”) but note at the extent of her ignorance.

Gracchus at the Daily Kos has a conjecture as to why many are turning on Palin. Basically, the conjecture is that the “money’ wing doesn’t like her; remember that the 200,000 dollar and up set actually went Democratic this year.

Of course, we should understand what is being said here.

More on the bluish tint to the map:

Notice that the Obama has made gains in every state except for a few:

D gains: everywhere except Alaska, Arkansas, Lousiana and Tennessee.

10 point gains: CA, CO, CT, DE, GA, ID, IL, IA, MD, MI, MT, NE, NV, NM, NC, OR, SD, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI
20 point gains: IN, ND
30 pts HI

But Election Inspection points out that Obama outperformed everywhere, so to see if some parts of the nation went bluer than other parts, check out this post.

A possible cloud on the horizon

Of course, Obama will make some mistakes. I hope one of them isn’t to appoint Robert Kennedy to the head of the EPA. We don’t need liberal woos heading up that agency. There may well be a place for Robert Kennedy, but not there.

  1. Yikes. If he appoints RFK Jr as EPA head, that will be very very scary. RFK Jr is clearly a complete fool when it comes to science, if he is that willing to reject vaccination. I know Obama needs to be politically careful, but really, can’t he find another way to please Hillary and Ted Kennedy???

  2. Remember that these are rumors and that BHO vets his people carefully. I can’t imagine him not consulting top scientists on this issue.

    I hope anyway.
