Fred Thompson wins Republican Debate

Of course the various Hilla-bots and assorted morons are screaming “sexism“; don’t they always. But anyone who doesn’t think that this will be an issue in the general election has their head up their anus.

Update After talking with some on the Daily Kos, I’ve come to understand that there are some who see the above cartoon as an attack on women in general; they think that the author is saying that women aren’t tough enough to handle stress.

I don’t believe that for a second; I see this cartoon as a comment on HRC’s remarks about “being piled up on” and a comment on her “emotional moment” the day prior to the New Hampshire vote.

It wouldn’t have been a problem had HRC gotten choked up over the death of someone (e. g., soldier, someone who didn’t have health insurance), but this appeared to be simple self-pity and “why can’t they see that I am the best”.

And yes, there are Democratic women who didn’t like HRC’s public display of self-pity either.

Republicans
Last night I watched much of the Fox Republican debate. I couldn’t tell “who won” and “who lost” because I can’t think like a Republican, especially a southern one. But I found myself thinking “I’ll bet that these voters go for Huckabee, but to me, it looks as if Thompson is having a good night”.

Sure enough, the voters in Fox’s group went for Thompson!

I am happy that he is too lazy to campaign much; for all the criticism that he gets he really does well in the debates.
