Workout notes 4 mile run (started out very slowly, then went slightly less slowly) then 2 mile walk at the Hike and Bike. The run was pleasant enough; what soured it a bit was what happened when I got 1/4′th of a mile from the trail head.

The police had blocked off part of the trail and were retrieving a body from Town Lake. I don’t know what happened and right now, neither does anyone else:

Austin police have identified a person whose body was found floating in Lady Bird Lake near the downtown hike-and-bike trail this morning.

Detective James Mason said preliminary autopsy results show that Edgar A. DeleonMoreno, 33, likely drowned. Joggers called police just before 8:30 a.m. after seeing DeleonMoreno’s body floating in the water between the Lamar Boulevard and First Street bridges.

Mason said there was no trauma to DeleonMoreno’s body, and at this point his death will likely be investigated as an accident.

I started my run at about 8:11 and didn’t see a body; then again, I wasn’t looking either.

Politics Yesterday I said that New Hampshire “wasn’t in the bag” and I was right; it is 39-37 Clinton with 82 percent of the results in. Oh well; we knew that it wouldn’t be easy, and it is only going to get harder.

Funny thing: the polls were way off, in terms of Clinton’s support. They were pretty much right on as far as Obama’s support though; evidently she cleaned up on the undecided vote, whereas Obama did better with the undecided vote in Iowa.
