Tingles

Last night, I noticed some tingles in the old injury area and some “soft numbness” down the leg. So, I figured that I had better back off a bit, so today was swimming and yoga (on my own).

Much to my surprise, the pool was all but full when I got there, end all but empty during my last 500 yards. The tingles aren’t there, but I can detect a bit of soreness; I must remember that due to my lower mileage, recovery after long efforts will be slower.

Social: a disturbing tale: Chicago police shove a screwdriver up a suspect’s rectum.

Religion: some Christians actually “get it”. Sort of.

A person who looks at the universe through the Hubble telescope is going to have trouble taking the first two chapters of Genesis literally. And when told that being faithful to God requires such belief, unbelief may feel like the only option.”

[Rev. James Evans]

Keep it up, theistards! The more stupid you goons start sounding, the more people you ultimately drive away from your cultish lunacy.

Others, of course, do not. Some claim to have seen the old pope (the one who died a few years ago) in a flame.

Hmmm. A cynic might say that this means:

  • The old Pontiff is burning in hell or
  • The old guy is still stooped over, even in heaven. That is rather mean of God, don’t you think? :)

  1. Screwdriver up a the rectum? Isn’t that considered foreplay in SF??

  2. Or among Republican Senators (especially those with “wide bathroom stances”). :)
