Some good stuff…

Workout notes Last night, 2 more miles of easy walking with Barbara on the Riverfront. Today, yoga class plus 4.5 miles with Vickie (my yoga teacher) followed by breakfast.

No jury duty today; my tour of service has ended.

Craziness (the good kind): an attempt at the 24 hour world record on the treamill. No, not me. ;) But Dean Karnazes; he is doing this while on a treadmill that will be on a suspended platform in Times Square.

That’s crazy. Then again, so is doing a 100 mile run on the deck of a ship!

Steamboat 2007 Here is the photo that Bob Padilla took of me; he gives you the option of paying for a quality downloaded photo, which is what I did. I wish all sports photographers did this; I’d buy many more race photos if that were an option.

I was side by side with Barbara, but she was obscured from view. But I have plenty of her here.

Science and Religion

Richard Dawkins having a question and answer session on the paperback version of his book The God Delusion. Hat tip to the RichardDawkins.net webiste.

It is about 33 minutes long, but the questions are interesting and well posed. What a delightful group of people!

Scientists view on religion (2003 survey)

Some nice takes on this from the blog On Evolution; here the blog author notices how scientists tend to view religious belief as a product of our evolution. In the blog Sandwalk, Dr. Moran wonders why scientists believe in “free will”.
