Steamboat 2007

Today I walked the Steamboat 4 miler with my wife Barbara. The Steamboat races reature a 4 miler (about 2000 entrants, 1900 finishers) and a hilly 15K that starts off on the 4 mile course, does two 2.65 hilly loops, and rejoins the 4 mile course.

Barbara’s results: 1:10:04, with mile 1 in 18:01, 2 in 18:18, 3 in 16:54 (53:15 at mile 3, 55:05 at 5K), 17:05 for the last mile 1:10:04 finish.

I walked with her and gave, ahem, encouragement. Here are some photos:

Barbara is approaching mile 2; in the background you can see the 15K runners finishing the first of their two 2.65 mile loops.

This is the third male 15K runner.
