Bill Richardson’s energy ad.

Seperation of Church and State A mandate from our state legislature:

though I am glad that I live in a blue state, we still have 14′th century theocracy advocates in Illinois, like the blogger who posted this
and the idiots who voted for this bill.

Note: this bill is to require schools to observe this period of silence, not to allow them to.

SPRINGFIELD – The House voted 86-26 on Thursday to send the governor legislation that would require Illinois public school teachers to open every school day with a period of silence in the classroom with students.

Senate Bill 1463 already passed in the Senate. Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s signature would make it law.

The legislation changes just one word – substituting “shall” for “may” – in an existing state law called the Silent Reflection and Student Prayer Act.

At present, the law permits, but does not require, teachers to “observe a brief period of silence with the participation of all the pupils therein assembled at the opening of every school day.” The law specifies that the period of silence “shall not be conducted as a religious exercise but shall be an opportunity for silent prayer or for silent reflection on the anticipated activities of the day.”

Talk about micromanagement from Springfield. Idiots. I wonder if they can arrange for auto-de-fe’s for those who don’t comply?

Freddie Thompson: the blog LiberalsMustDie is firmly on the Freddie Thompson express, for all of the right reasons.

This is one candidate who knows his T & A.

Ironic how the conservatives bellow about Democrats getting support from the Hollywood crowd when they are the ones who run the actors as candidates.

Hmmm, I wonder if he’ll enter his wife in that bikini run?
